About Us
The African Diaspora Civic Center (ADCC) is a vibrant community hub created to reconnect and empower people of African descent living in the US and beyond. Based in Washington DC, ADCC serves as a bridge between Africa and its diaspora — a place where culture, history, and innovation come together to inspire shared progress.
At the heart of our identity is the Adinkra symbol Funtunfunefu-Denkyemfunefu — two Siamese crocodiles sharing one stomach. It represents unity in diversity, reminding us that though we may live in different parts of the world, we share one destiny and one heritage.
Through programs in civic engagement, cultural preservation, youth empowerment, and community development, ADCC works to strengthen the bonds that unite Africans everywhere. We celebrate our collective story, honor our ancestors, and build opportunities for the next generation — ensuring that the African spirit continues to thrive, wherever we are in the world.
Our Mission
To connect and empower people of African descent in the United States and beyond through civic engagement, cultural preservation, education, and community development.
Our vision
To build a united and thriving African diaspora community — one that celebrates its roots, amplifies its voice, and shapes a shared future of progress and pride.

Our team
From our founder to our volunteers, our strength lies in our individuality and our common purpose — to uplift, connect, and empower the African diaspora. Each member of our team brings unique skills, passion, and dedication to advancing our shared mission of building a vibrant and united community.
