Civic Engagement

At ADCC, we believe in the power of active participation. Our Civic Engagement program empowers the African diaspora in the United States to make a difference locally and nationally. Through advocacy, policy engagement, and voter education, we ensure that African-descendant voices are heard in social, economic, and political spheres. We foster a culture of responsible citizenship and community leadership so that our community is not only informed but also equipped to drive meaningful change.

Cultural Preservation

Our Cultural Preservation initiative is at the heart of ADCC’s mission. We organize programs that honor African heritage through art, history, language, and dance. These programs include African history classes, language workshops, and traditional dance lessons, designed to reconnect African descendants with their cultural roots. By preserving and celebrating African traditions, we aim to pass on a deep sense of identity to future generations while building stronger cultural ties between Africa and the diaspora.

Youth Empowerment

The future of our community lies in the hands of our young people. Through our Youth Empowerment program, we provide mentorship and training in leadership, entrepreneurship, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) to equip young African descendants with the skills they need to succeed in an ever-changing world. Our workshops, internships, and scholarship opportunities empower young leaders to make an impact both in the U.S. and across Africa.

Community Development

Community Development is essential to building a sustainable future. ADCC works closely with local organizations and leaders to address issues such as economic inequality, education, and social justice. Our programs provide support services to underserved communities, particularly those with large African-descendant populations. We collaborate on initiatives that improve access to healthcare, education, and career opportunities, helping families and individuals achieve lasting prosperity.
